Abstract

This article is based on an articulation of the theoretical debates about the end of art, the contemporaneity, and the archive, to briefly point out how, in some experiences of art, the propositional force of these questions can be interpreted, albeit in a ciphered way. We emphasize the prevalence of these experiences for a critical and creative reinterpretation of history. In this way, art presents itself not as a reproduction or representation of history, but as its production or deferred presentation.

  • Artur de Vargas Giorgi, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil

    Artur de Vargas Giorgi é professor de Literatura Brasileira na Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC, Brasil). No Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura da UFSC, sob orientação de Raúl Antelo, defendeu tese sobre os exílios de Ferreira Gullar e León Ferrari, trabalho que foi indicado ao Prêmio Capes de Tese (Edição 2015-2016). Desenvolveu pesquisa de pós-doutorado junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Linguagem da Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (Unisul/Capes), onde também foi professor. É autor de artigos e ensaios dedicados, sobretudo, à literatura brasileira, à teoria literária e às artes visuais.
