This article analyzes Almodóvar's film The Bullfighter (Matador, 1986) using as boarding the studies of Aesthetic of the Reception, the theory formulated by Hans Robert Jauss, and the theory of the film of poetry, formulated by Pier Paolo Pasolini. The three simultaneous activities which compose the aesthetic experience, in the vision of Jauss (the production or poiesis, the aisthesis or enjoyment, and the katharsis, the resultant aesthetic experience), are a little harmed in Almodóvar's work for the excess of traps that the director places for the spectator.Downloads
