Pensar o jornalismo: uma proposta

Abstract

This work concepts the Journalism like a symbolic institution that produces a discourse that characterizes it. This discourse is ordered under the narrative structure. The Institucional discourse makes social links, because it is constructed having the legitimacy in perspective. This institution is doubly determinate, because it is simultaneously an institutional e professional practice. Its functions are to publicize the acts of Power and to mediate the institutions and the public. Its object and its finality are the production of information, like a kind of knowledge. It is a privileged place inwhich journalists and sources of Journalism manifest themselves.
