Reviewing the route: the rural seen from the inside

Abstract

This paper addresses the experience gained by the author in the field, between 1980 and 1986, when data were collected with rural workers of Fazenda Primavera (Muniipality of Andradina - SP) for her doctoral research. The text sprung from the desire to narrate what was recorded in her memory and field diary throughout the study. By inspiration on Social Anthropology, fragments, scenes, and oral reports were collected which are indicative of the values that guide those workers' lives and culture. In addition to the findings, emphasis must be given to what was experienced, felt and observed.
