This article discusses two major questions posed by life-histories, that of the transcription of the inverview, and the theorical questions that clarify the analysis of the material. Other important issues discussed include the trustworthiness of the transcription and the ethnocentric and sociocentric characteristics of the transcriber who corrects the speech of the interviewee.Downloads
