Abstract

From 1910 a 1950 the Brazilian education was marked by the strong presence of teaching reformation commanded by intellectuals with The New School and with the Modern Pedagogy. This work discusses the studies trips made pedagogues from Sergipe to São Paulo searching for modern pedagogy apprehension and the theory and practices of the New School during the first four decades of the 20th century. Besides, this work intends to check also the technicists lending by São Paulo government to Sergipe´s government. Inspired on the nowadays discussions about the Brazilian Education historiography. This study considered the discourse in the reports and the works published by the pedagogues from Sergipe who made study trips to São Paulo.
