The nineteenth century was marked by the process of immigration of Europeans to Brazil. The Province of São Paulo was the destination of many immigrants, both to the coffee-producing farms located inland and to the potentialities of its capital. The hospitality concept allows us to follow the interaction between the visitor and the city, trajectories in search of better placements in the labor market, possibilities for accommodation, food and leisure, without losing sight of its commercial initiatives, circulation By different spaces and social groups. This article aims to analyze some situations experienced by immigrants who came in search of work and the hospitality that welcomed them in the mid - nineteenth century.Downloads
