For the defense of quality in educational training: a strategy of resistance to the effects of the pandemic in graduate education

Since the beginning of the suspension of face-to-face activities in higher education in Brazil, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attention has predominantly turned to graduation. In view of the legitimacy of this concern, educational processes involving posgraduate education received only residual care and attention. With the discourse of submitting the Stricto sensu post-graduation to the dynamics established by CAPES, most universities ended up delegating decisions to the “autonomy” of each Program. In this sense, based on this experience report, we aim to reflect on the resistance strategies built by the Master’s Program in Communication at UEL in defense of the quality of educational training, with a collective and democratic process, ensuring quality in postgraduate teaching.
