This article aims to problematize the relationships between work and sociability that emerged between the 1970’s and 1980’s. It questions whether today’s working conditions and situations are more illness-causing than those of the period when Taylorism and Fordism prevailed. Based on this questioning, the article also points out the mechanisms present in contemporary sociability capable of turning workplaces into spaces of degradation of solidarity bonds, into spaces of physical and mental illness, leading to the abandonment of ill workers.Downloads
