Abstract

The colonizer creates and maintains the racist practice to justify his domination, forming a dual world which poles are reversed in the war of national Liberation. These racial tensions, different between the colonized and colonizers, are present in A geração da Utopia by Pepetela. In this novel, we see, on one hand, black characters suffering racism from the Portugueses; and, on the other hand, Sara, one of the protagonists, being the target of the distrust of the black comrades of the libertarian movement.
