The poem approaches the technique of Fine-Tune, developed by the author, where the form, meaning and sound of the words fit together. The piece is based on a real episode that was broadcast in the media: an African refugee who swam across the Mediterranean Sea, with a support scuba made of slings and plastic buoys, only to find on the other side of his journey several armed guards who returned him back to Africa. The format of the stanzas and verses suggest a swimmer.
