Abstract

The article aims to analyze the feature film “Still walking” (2008) directed by filmmaker Koreeda Hirokazu. The focus of the text is directed to pillow shots, in which film spaces of inner areas where the characters live are recorded without the presence of human figures. It will be taken into account the relation of the mentioned filmic framework and its correspondence with still life genre belonging to visual arts, which paintings illustrate inanimate objects and animals staged in situations integrated to domestic life. The works by Jacques Aumont, David Besser, Nöel Burch and Gilles Deleuze are among those who theoretically base the present text.
