Representations of physical education docent: modifications from a training program

This article presents the results of a research intended to verify the circumstances of modifications in the representation of the knowledge for PE teaching in a group of classroom teachers participation in an ongoing educational course. Starting from a point that everyday actions happens according to representations of the object to which the individual acts. The data obtained through Piaget's Clinical Method, were confronted with the theoretical construction of the constructivism approach of learning and the pedagogical tendencies of scholar Physical Education. The following modifications of the teachers changed from a dual vision (body/mind) to a technical one (body as a tool), and those that were initially at this level, reorganized into a social-cultural vision (the citizen body). The identified modifications followed the historical pathway of Physical Education in Brazil.Downloads
