Abstract

The urban changes in Florianópolis (SC) during the late 20th century, due to touristification, did not occurred simultaneously in the entire city, neither the perception of the dwellers about the disputes an tensions was homogeneous. The neighborhoods of the called “interior da ilha”, were the ones that suffered most those changes due to their condition of rural area until the 70’s. In this sense, using oral history, this essay intent to comprehend how those process were perceived by some Santo Antonio de Lisboa’s dwellers (in the north of the island). That neighborhood was chosen due to its changes during the last decades from a autochthonous population to a multicultural urban area.
