Abstract

Inclusive Physical Education and Autism: perspectives of parents, students, teachers and their challengesThis article aims to discuss the challenges of including children and young people with autism in physical and sports activities. A review of studies was conducted that addressed the perspectives of parents, students and teachers about the inclusion of students with disabilities and autism in physical and sports activities, both in the context of school and outside it. The low level of participation of students with autism in physical and sports activities was a recurring theme observed in the studies, in addition to the need for specialized training of physical education teachers to deal with this population. Finally, suggestions were presented for teacher training
