Abstract

This text seeks to briefly discuss the idea of place and space in scientific Geography, especially in Human Geography. Turn back a contribution to a possible geographical philosophy with regard to the discourse on both concepts so widespread in geographical studies. Moreover, it is noteworthy that the idea of place implies the idea of spatial sense. In addressing simply what are space and place, intends to epistemological reflection, however, enforcing the humanist or humanistic geography as the essential speech to support the analysis of the space surrounding the whole man.
