36 Leghorn chicks were divided at random in two groups, one of them receiving, since the second day of life, a standard commercial ration and the other one receiving the same ration plus 0,025% Sulphamerazine. This treatment was maintained for 12 weeks. The idea was to test any possible effect of this drug upon growth rate. The analysis of the final data failed to show any significant difference between treated and untreated groups.
