Abstract

The author made a geographic survey of the incidence of enzootic haematuria in cattle of the State of S. Paulo, through questionnaires distributed to veterinarians of the Department of Agriculture and to these responsibles for the veterinary assistance in 127 counties. The occurence of haematuria in the different counties is related to their soil composition. The results lead to the conclusion that the greater incidence of enzootic haematuria in cattle is verified in animals kept in brushgrass pastures.
