Abstract

The AA. studied the ductus parotideus opening in 83 heads of buffaloes, 24 males and 59 females, and related it to the vestibular surface of the upper cheek teeth, or better, to:
1st) the contact line between the 1st and upper molars — 64 pairs (77.1% ± 4.6 — 18 males and 46 females);
2nd) the vestibular surface the 1st upper molar — 15 pairs (18.1% ± 4 . 2 — 6 males and 9 females);
3d) the vestibular surface the 2nd upper molar — 4 pairs (4.8% ± 2 . 3 — 4 females).
The bi-lateral symmetry of the opening of the ductus parotideus was always evident.
