Contribution to the study of the biliary system in Throughbred horses. Systematization of the ductus choledocus and the ramus principalis dexter

In a study about the systematization of the ductus choledocus and the ramus principalis dexter, in 30 livers of adult, 20 male and 10 females, there were arrived to the following conclusions : 1) the ductus choledocus is formed by the ramus principalis dexter and ramus principalis sinister (36.7%), by the ramus principalis dexter, ramus principalis sinister and ramus lobi quadrati (30.0%), by the ramus principalis dexter, ramus principalis sinister and ramus ventralis lobi dextri (6.7%); 2) the system of the ramus principalis dexter is composed by the ramus dorsalis lobi dextri, ramus medius lobi dextri, ramus ventralis lobi dextri, ramus processi caudati, ramus lobi quadrati and innominate afferents of the lobus dexter (dorsal, medial and ventral territories), lobus caudatus (processus caudatus) and lobus quadratus.
