Contribution to the study of arterial and venous vascularization of the kidney hilus in cats

Abstract

It was studied the number, distribution, the entry and exit sites of arterial branches and venous roots in 30 pairs of kidneys obtained from 20 males and 10 females cats. After fixation in formol solution (10.0%) and dissection, the main results are: 1) were found four to fourteen arterial branches at the right kidney and at the left one, from five to twelve; 2) One to five venous roots were numbered at the right kidney hilus and from one to six at the left side; 3) in both kidneys the arterial branches are almost situated in peripheral zone of the hilus.
