Abstract

The article is resulted from mapping about the “state of knowledge” in ethnic-racial relationships in Brazil. It begins by analyzing the Brazilian production that had this methodological approach as reference, to afterward present the studies that focused in the state-of-the-art of ethnic-racial relationships. When we realize the historical revision, we aim to indicate relevant aspects for the role set of analyses already made about the subject, the blank spaces detected by the authors, the diversity of approaches theoretical-methodoligical about which they have based on and the pointed permanencies. We concluded connecting the principal actions, proposals and critics defined in the researches that mingle with those defended by the “Black Movement” and searchers of the different areas that fight for the destruction of racism in the Brazilian society
