This article intends to present to the reader the main features of the philosophical thought of Vissarion Belinski. More specifically, this article sougth to show the unique place occupied by Belinsky within the Russian intelligentsia of the early 19th century. In an intellectual atmosphere largely dominated by German idealism, Belinski will seek to retain the special role of individual morality in history. From this point of view, Belinski offers an interpretation of Hegel, questionable from the point of view of Hegelian doctrine, but very original and characteristic of the concrete philosophical problems encountered by the intelligentsia of that time.
