Author Guidelines

– Articles sent for publication must be original and unpublished, and their simultaneous publication in other national journals is not allowed;

– In accordance with the editorial scope of the journal, ARS prioritizes articles that unequivocally contribute to the debate on contemporary art and culture, history, theory and art criticism, as well as other related subjects. When contemplated, articles must clearly keep as a dialogue horizon the visual arts, which are the primary focus of the journal -- the publication of texts strictly from other knowledge areas, such as cinema, theatre, literature, among others, is at the exclusive discretion of the editorial board.

– Articles submitted to Ars must result from research carried out in the scope of graduate studies. Thus, the authors must be associated with graduate courses, national or international, or have carried out academic research at the graduate level;

– After previous assessment by the Editors, articles are submitted to ad hoc reviewers (through the blind peer review system), who can accept, decline, or suggest changes to the author;

– Articles submitted with multiple authorship are reviewed considering that all authors agree with the submission and that the final version of the article has been approved by all co-authors.
