This article aims to explore some questions that emerged from the process of making the short film Pequi for sale, a shared production between the researcher and the Manoki people, held during video workshops from 2011 to 2013. From the description of the creation contexts and selection of techniques and aesthetics during the making of the short film, some issues that emerged from the camera’s presence are analyzed. We seek to understand, for example, how the intergenerational relations between Manoki, marked by different temporality and
potentially mediated by video in situations generated by the workshop itself, are constituted. At the end we propose a reflection on the appropriation processes of audiovisual resources, questioning the possibility of analogies with other incorporations of external elements that are typically Amerindian.
