Abstract

In this article, I have as reflection certain situations experienced in the conduct of fieldwork research during the master’s and doctoral courses in Anthropology, which may be considered adverse because they explain dilemmas, conflicts and  controversies. From the description, I will present questions about the production of ethnographic knowledge under conditions not always comfortable for the researcher and / or researched ones. I will consider interactions that were often tense and risky, in which I engaged as an anthropologist in training conducting research with civil police in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro and how, from my standpoint as a black, young, woman, and researcher, I could understand and think about, relating theory and methods, the construction of ethnographic knowledge
