This article analyzes the tattoo, as practiced by the people of Penienciária Women's Capital (São Paulo), while a communication system specifically articulated to the world of crime and delinquency.In this sense, seeks to raise the determinations and relations established between the body as a support for the construction of systems of meaning related to the representation of reality, and crime and delinquency as phenomena quie only carried out effectively from the intervention and system performance institutional.
