On the Bar d’A Loca’s corner: production of sexualities at the intersection with the production of São Paulo city

Sexuality producing city. This paper starts from a point in the city of São Paulo to think the very production of the city from socio-sexual settings. Located on the corner of Frei Caneca St. and Peixoto Gomide St., the Bar d’A Lôca emerges as unifying sexual identities, summarized in the term gay, as well as epicentral point of speaking of what the city center. More than any other of the various spaces of sociability gay, the bar is defining, as well as the street corner and the street, in relation to others, São Paulo maps and alters its geography.
