During the course of Cuban society history, leaving the Island has been one of the solutions found for the crisis. This fact has been a significant trigger point for the continuous dispersion of the family structure over decades. The literary echo in the Island of this process has become remarkable since 2000, mainly in the novels written by women and many Cuban female artists living in the United States. This present paper analyses this scenario, looking for coincidences and continuities in the whole set of works in order to articulate a narrative corpus that is truly meaningful.
