This essay aims to understand the approach of grammar in the unpublished Spanish collections approved in 2018 PNLD, namely, Sentidos en lengua española and Confluencia. In order to do so, we have consulted the didactic guide book to rescue the perspectives on language teaching and learning, the structuring points of the units which were considered by the authors, as well as how they claim approaching grammar. Then, we have proceeded to the description of the first two units of the first volume pertaining to each collection, with particular attention to the activities and sections in which language skills are at play. We have been able to conclude that the two collections have very close theoretical references, nevertheless, a slight difference in materialization of the approach towards grammar is noticeable. In both cases, however, there are subversions in the preparation of textbooks.
