Abstract

We have read D.A.F. de Sade in Pierre Klossowski's Sade mon prochain (1947) and Georges Bataille's La valeur d'usage La valeur d'usage de D.A.F. de Sade, O.C. II, (1929-1940), alongside the preface dedicated to Justine (1958). Based on these texts, we intend to discuss the aspects of a Sadean economy as an operation of shift in literary values, or how decadence can be sustained as a romanesque value as a means to composing an impossible body.
