Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare some of those words and expressions of Jesus transmitted by the Synoptic Gospels, especially by Matthew, so that we can say that the words of Jesus transmitted by the Synoptic Gospels have a Semitic characteristic, without the inquiry about the language that Jesus spoke. This coloration can be better defined when comparing the sayings of Jesus with the rabbinic writings (Talmudim, Mishnaiot, Midrashim, etc.). In this comparative study, one can see clearly that the sayings of Jesus presented by the Synoptic Gospels were part of the Jewish tradition, as well as testify some rabbinic writings reviewed here.
