In this article the analytical space is destined to investigate the theme of acquittal in the novel The love of single men (2016), by Victor Heringer, realizing the way homoerotism is present in the narrative in question. There is here a memorialistic narrative in which the protagonist finds himself imprisoned in a state of desolation. The analyzes that will be undertaken in the present study perceive, in the novel, an aesthetic of acquittal that presents homoerotic desire and affective memory, both being unveiled throughout the work.
