Abstract

The intention of this paper is to present a brief history of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of the University of São Paulo. Our aim is to register some of the most important moments of this Museum, since its creation back in 1964 down to 2010 moment when it achieved it's administrative and academic autonomy among all the other Schools, Institutes and Faculties of the University.
