Abstract

THIS IS A STUDY of the intellectual biography of the psychologist and educator Helena Antipoff (1892-1974), presenting the successive moments of her life and work and the progressive elaboration of her thought, drawing on Genevan interactionism and Soviet social and historical psychology. Her ideas, shaped in the process of adaptation to different cultures in times of great sociocultural transformations, in Russia, France, Switzerland and Brazil, is characterized by advanced and progressivist scientific information, associated to a pragmatic sense and a compromise with democratic conviviality.
