This article aims to discuss if the Prebisch-Singer Thesis, applied to contemporary international trade features, is still valid. Therefore, the paper presented the original hypothesis and tested the trend of terms of tradebetweenthecommoditiesanddifferenttypesofmanufacturedproductsfor the period1977to 2011. The study concludes that, despitethe recent rise in commodities price, prices of manufactured goods of medium and high technology also grew, remaining the long-term trend deterioration of the terms of tradeDownloads
