Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the look over the baby's body as a perspective to reflect on the notion of prevention. From our practice in a welcoming place, we defend the hypothesis that the welcoming person's look can serve as a support for the look sustained by the mother over her baby's body. Thereby we conclude that the prevention clinic operates in the sense of following the psychic constitution of the subject in which the construction of the erogenous body is inscribed and where the mother's look plays a fundamental role.
