Abstract

Don Belindo’s Cycle is composed of a set of chivalry books that narrate the accomplishments and love sorrows of Don Belindo, a fictitious prince of Portugal, as well as those of other knights and princesses related to Emperor Beliandro of Greece court. The complete cycle, from which 44 manuscripts are known, narrates the story in four parts. Evora’s fragment distinguishes itself for narrating a distinct version than that transmitted by the other nine codices that present the third part, and for presenting clues of being autograph.
