El proceso de seeding de la computación al diseño para la innovación social: revisión sistemática de la literatura

Resumen

Este artículo presenta una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre el concepto de seeding, que fue inicialmente desarrollado en el campo de la computación, por Gerhard Fischer y el equipo del Center for LifeLong Learning and Design, y posteriormente integrado en el campo del diseño. El concepto se utiliza para describir procesos participativos de difusión de la innovación, que no solo son abiertos, sino también apropiables por las personas a las que están dirigidos (comunidades de diseñadores, desarrolladores y usuarios). Se trata de procesos susceptibles de evoluciones autónomas, continuas y potencialmente infinitas. Metafóricamente, el concepto de seeding hace referencia a semillas proyectuales concebidas para la difusión de la innovación. Progresivamente, el concepto comienza a aparecer en los sectores en los que operan las organizaciones asociativas y las administraciones públicas, demostrando su potencial para la evolución del discurso de la innovación social. La revisión permitió recopilar las diversas comprensiones del concepto y profundizar en su aplicación en el diseño. El principal resultado de la revisión fue comprender su aplicabilidad en el campo del diseño para la innovación social. De hecho, el concepto de seeding resultó especialmente relevante para comprender y practicar procesos abiertos y participativos de diseño de innovaciones sociales que puedan ser difundidas libremente en la sociedad y apropiadas autónomamente por las comunidades alcanzadas. Finalmente, el artículo presenta las Casas Colaborativas de Porto Alegre, un caso que ilustra las elaboraciones conceptuales del proceso de seeding, así como su aplicabilidad en el diseño para la innovación social.

    Luana Fuentefria es consultora en innovación social y sustentabilidad. Tiene una maestría en Design Estratégico y realiza procesos para la construcción de cultura de sustentabilidad en las organizaciones, como empresas y comunidades, a través del desarrollo colaborativo de estrategias y la medición del impacto socioambiental. En este sentido, su trabajo se centra en la innovación social y los procesos participativos y colaborativos para la educación socioambiental y la apropiación de los procesos proyectuales.

  • Carlo Franzato, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro

    Carlo Franzato es Profesor Asociado del Departamento de Artes e Diseño de la PUC-Rio (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil). Es especialista en Diseño Estratégico y practica este método en diferentes entornos organizacionales, como empresas, administraciones e instituciones públicas, colectivos informales y comunidades. En esa dirección, su trabajo se centra en la elaboración de procesos participativos de construcción de escenarios. La sostenibilidad es el principal horizonte de su investigación.
