This study aims to analyze the topics discussed in the presentation “A literary reading in Portuguese teachinglearning for foreign students” at Languages, Literatures and Cultures: Dialogues in DLCV (2011) event. The proposal is to examine the practice of teaching literary reading to academics from different countries, based on testimonies and texts produced by them. Assuming that the theory and practice of acquisition and teaching of a foreign language presuppose reflection of universal knowledge in accordance to the needs of the learners, this study addresses the reading of Brazilian literary texts by advanced level foreign students at FFLCHUSP language center, focusing on an interactive approach. This sort of study is justified since there are few studies on this subject in PLE and PL2 field of study. Thus, the objective of this article is to investigate, within the parameters of interaction, the role of that reading in the assimilation of Brazilian Portuguese and how the teacher can help in the arrangement of a shared knowledge as it is verified that the pedagogical practice can approach the social practice and it can construct meanings while literary discourse starts inferring beliefs and values in multiple contexts.Downloads
