The participation of the communication offices on the enforcement of the Law of Access to Information, in the Federal District, Brazil

The proposal of this research is to present the role of communication consultancies in the application of the Access to Information Act (LAI) in the Government of Distrito Federal (GDF). The article analyzes the concept of Public Communication’s that argues about the importance of the dialogue between state and society. Thirty-one public agencies were interviewed. This sample was formed by more than 50% interviewed agencies. More than half of the advisers say that the communication area participates directly of the law application process.
