Each paper that composes the dossier “Literature and City” gets into the city by their own way. Among flâneurs and monuments, kind of bossa nova and and rock’n’roll, undergraduate and graduate students sent their interpretations of works by Machado de Assis, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Rubem Fonseca, João Antônio, Renato Russo, Evandro Affonso Ferreira, Milton Hatoum, Chico Buarque, among others, in search of convergences among literature and themes from architecture and urbanism, in order to find in literature a particular form of representing, imagining, remembering, and forgetting the city. In this issue, besides the dossier with papers authored by João Vitor Rodrigues Alencar, Júlia Nunes Azzi, Kaio Carvalho Carmona, Amanda Borges Almeida da Fonseca, Luís Otávio Hott, Lohanna Machado, Carolina Pina Rodrigues Maciel, Elizabeth da Silva Mendonça, Renan Nuernberger, Elisângela Maria Ozório, Claudia Maria de Serrão Pereira, Davidson de Oliveira Rodrigues, Adriana Kerchner da Silva, Luciele Bernardi de Souza, Thales de Barros Teixeira, and Milena Guimarães Andrade Tanure, we published in the section of continuous submission Henrique Balbi’s essay on narration in the chronicles of Fernando Sabino and Rubem Braga. There is also an interview with Professor Sophia Beal, Associate Professor in the University of Minnesota, which was edited by Aline Novais de Almeida, Juliana Caldas e Larissa Satico Ribeiro Higa. In 2013, Professor Beal published the book Brazil Under Construction – Fiction and Public Works that approaches the relations between public and literary works in Brazil.
