Abstract

One of the characteristics of the neoliberal economy with a strong global reach is the generation and beginning of different economic blocks.  The air transport is an economic activity that has experienced a great dynamism during the nineties.  In the framework of the MERCOSUR the regular transport of passengers has suffered a strong process of business centralization first.  This process has derived different spatial and territorial consequences referring to the air connectivity of the cities that integrate the countries that are included in this block.  The different manifestations of business centralization and of concentration of the network of regional flights are a phenomena opposed to the objectives presented in the Asuncion Treaty.
