Abstract

According to the Brazilian awarded screenwriter Di Moretti, poetry is essential in the art of writing cinema scripts. The best script is the one that cultivates human sensibility and takes it as its priority. This is the reason why it is called ‘literary script’ before the technical phase. This paper analyses the art present in the text that originated the film Cabra-cega and the creative style of Moretti’s writing, which was perfected in the process from the text to the film. In the end, cinema is the art of image and by it Moretti thinks and writes.
