Abstract

In this interview, Tiago Santana, award-winning photographer and one of the great names in Brazilian documentary photography, talks about the origins of his interest in photography, his influences and his engagement with the Brazilian Northeast region. The interview is accompanied by a photographic essay that develops a parallel narrative from his interest in photography books. Tiago Santana, who is also active as an editor, shares his bibliographical findings while presenting his path and themes. The interview celebrates the photographer's interest in images and books, presenting in the parallel photographic essay images from his books and in particular part of his book collection that has innovative editorial projects in the field of photography books.
