Abstract

The UN organized the Millennium Development Goals program at the beginning of the twenty-first century. An international agenda was proposed concerning economic growth supported by a sustainable technological foundation, aimed at environmental protection, access to health and education, economic equilibrium, and respect for multiculturalism, cultural diversity and gender equality. Thus, it has promoted an improved space for the integration of actions in the pursuit of greater global balance. This article proposes to discuss the issue of cultural-environmental sustainability and the meaning of intellectual and scientific cooperation for development through the relations of Education, Culture and Science from the perspective of current Brazilian policies in relation to the international agenda.
