Abstract

By discussing agency between literate and oral cultures, with their forms and places of memory, cultural heritage, registers and powers, it was possible to uncover profound diff erences in terms of institutions and means of expression regarding “knowledge dilemmas’’ in their civilizations. Aware that they produce distinct manifestations and analysis paths, in the fi eld of history, we followed experiences, feelings and thoughts in writing and in performance acts. As a result, archeological geologies could be seen in a new dimension in terms of the “oral logics” of African peoples in Diaspora. Their interfaces and civilization struggles are spread among cosmic diff erences, use of the body and conceptions of reason in their cultural foundations. That produced languages and ways of living (in community or individually), which were consolidated in the fi led document or the Body knowledge, from the “logics of the letter” or “oral logics”.
