This interview aims to provide readers with a reflection on the Master Artisan of Cultural Reference Juão de Fibra’s contributions to the dissemination of traditional knowledge, the enhancement of natural and cultural heritage, the importance of co-creative processes for artcraft and their insertion in the production chains. Throughout the interview “Juão de Fibra, Master Artisan of Cultural Reference: between recognition and reward, a long way” we also sought to reflect on the role of institutions in strengthening artisans and artcraft of national identity, the challenges faced so that the recognition of the Master is rewarded financially and on the sustainable use of natural resources.
