Abstract

This article studies two objects produced in Tuscany, in 1494, for the double wedding of brothers Giulio and Antonio Spannocchi: a series of spalliera panels, offered as
wedding gifts, and a play written for the celebrations. Through the analysis of these objects, we propose an approach to the study of their reception by the Spannocchi and their contemporaries.
