In this article we present the main characteristics of the technological organization of the lithic industries in the Lajeado region through the Holocene period. Radiocarbone dates obtained for a series of sites identified in this region allowed us to define four periods of ocupation perpassing the whole Holocene in a intermitent form. Based on the characterization of the lithic technology organization related to the sites of each one of these periods we sought to re-think the general context accepted nowadays to explain the technological variability of the lithic industries in central Brazil.Downloads
